It’s a Community (I Am the Exit)

A field report from the group chat that loved you until the bid vanished.

Every pumper believes he is a founder. Every dumper believes he is a risk manager. Together they are a church with a ticker and a very short hymnal. The first verse is we. The second verse is family. The third verse is silence, and then a wallet moving.

They will call a four-decimal coin the next Ethereum with the same energy as a man selling knives out of a Civic. They post the chart after they bought. They discover profit-taking the second you market-buy their bags. The community is them, a Telegram bot, and forty sock puppets named DiamondWolf87. If confidence were alpha they would be Renaissance. If results were, they would be a cautionary tale in a Coinbase ad.

The costume

You can spot it from the hallway. One: a sentence that begins with “we are so early.” Two: a roadmap that is just a staircase drawn in crayon toward a door they already used. Three: the word community, used the way carnies use family, which is to say as a way of making the mark feel rude for leaving.

NFA is printed at the top like a halo. Under the halo is a shopping list. Under the shopping list is a man who already sold. Under that man is you, holding a bag that has been introduced as a friend.

A diagnostic

Ask yourself one question and do not workshop the answer.

If the chart went to zero tomorrow at 9 a.m., what, exactly, would the community still be for?

If the answer is software, art, a joke that was always a joke, you might just be in on it. If the answer is vibes, and the vibes require new buyers, you are the product. Sit down. You were not early. You were inventory.
